In today’s episode we take a look at the conversation they were trying to force us to have in regards to the fires in the Amazon in Brazil. What does meat have to do with this? As with so many environmental issues big agribusiness absolutely factors in. They come up with many suggestions to combat the issue. Some suggest veganism, some suggest eating bugs, some suggest eating our dead…wait what? This was an actual discussion scientists are having.

Personally I think there are real conversations to be had in regards to what is happening with the Amazon, biodiversity being a huge concern I have. Subsidization and government interference are some of the biggest drivers of moves toward mono-crops and factory farming. Instead we get lies trying to paint this year as being worse than most as far as these fires go instead of barely out of the bottom third. This doesn’t even address why the fires happen and to what end. I’m not personally about making food more difficult for poor modernizing nations.

The coverage seemed to disappear immediately after the democratic town hall suggested trillions of dollars of new spending that we don’t have to drastically rework society with a model that has been proven over and over again to fail.

Here’s a Washington Post article that has a bunch of information on the issue. Check It Out.
